About Course

Legal system and method is a compulsory module of the Standard Entry LLB and CertHE Common Law. Students must select it on first registration. The module is an introduction to the English legal system and describes the distinctiveness of the common law approach as a legal methodology. The module is vital in initiating students into the process of legal research and the understanding of legal reasoning.

The students of the UOL generally gets the opportunity to sit for the examination twice (May & October) in an academic year. The question of this module is divided in three different parts, where a compulsory Part A which is based on short question from the given CASE NOTE. On the other hand students in Part B is required to answer 2 essay question out of 6 question. Finally, another compulsory part C will need the students to answer a problem question based on a particular STATUTE. The students will be evaluated with 100 marks question which will be completely written based examination.
